The atmosphere at the church’s headquarters in Ikotun, Lagos, was electrifying as thousands of worshippers from across Africa, Europe, and Asia converged to offer praise, gratitude, and intercession.
The service opened with a multiracial praise session rendered in Swahili, French, English, and Ashanti, reflecting SCOAN’s global followership. The signature orchestra, soloists, and SCOAN choir elevated the atmosphere with classical worship medleys, opera performances, and spirit-filled gospel renditions.
Leader of SCOAN, Pastor Evelyn Joshua, expressed deep gratitude to God for sustaining the church and its members despite the nation’s economic and security challenges. She assured congregants that God’s mercy over Nigeria remains steadfast and unshakeable.
“We appreciate God for His preservation and faithfulness throughout the year,” she said.
“Today, we lift Nigeria before God. May His peace, wisdom, and divine intervention rest upon this nation.”
She encouraged Nigerians not to lose hope, emphasizing that thanksgiving opens the doors to divine possibilities.
The thanksgiving service drew ministers, gospel artists, and worshippers from Uganda, Congo, Tanzania, South Africa, Kenya, Spain, and across Nigeria.
During the annual Thanksgiving Service of SCOAN, Pastor Evelyn Joshua delivered a heartfelt message of gratitude, declaring God’s unwavering faithfulness and divine intervention over Nigeria and the global church community.
Addressing congregants, international worshippers, Emmanuel TV partners, and viewers worldwide, she opened with expressions of praise, acknowledging God as “the God of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and Prophet T.B. Joshua” the God who speaks, guides, and never fails.
Pastor Evelyn emphasized that the year, prophetically declared as the “Forward-Looking Year,” unfolded exactly as God promised. She referenced Isaiah 43:19, noting that God truly “did a new thing,” which manifested in the lives of believers and in the growth of the ministry. According to her, the church witnessed countless transformations, healing, deliverance, restoration, abundance, breakthrough, and testimonies that proved that “when God is involved, the impossible becomes possible.”

She reaffirmed that SCOAN has experienced undeniable spiritual and physical growth, fulfilling Psalm 115:14: “May the Lord cause you to flourish, both you and your children.” She stressed that this progress is the direct result of God’s hand upon the church.
Pastor Evelyn expressed deep appreciation to church members, friends of the ministry, partners, and supporters worldwide for their steadfast prayers, love, and sacrifices. She especially acknowledged Emmanuel TV partners, describing them as “pillars of this kingdom mission,” assuring them that God, who is never unrighteous, will reward their faithfulness (Hebrews 6:10).
She concluded with prophetic blessings, declaring that God’s grace, guidance, and divine favour will continue to uplift individuals, families, and the nation. She encouraged the congregation to rejoice, sing, and celebrate God’s goodness, ending with a triumphant call to praise.
