The Commandant, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Lagos State Command, Commandant Ayeni PK, MSC MBA ANIM ACIA, has paid an operational courtesy visit to the Group Executive Director, of DANGOTE Oil Refinery and Petrochemicals Company Limited and the members of his team at the Ibeju- Lekki axis of Lagos State.
The Group Executive Director, ( DANGOTE OIL REFINERY and PETROCHEMICALS COMPANY LIMITED), Mr. D. V. G. Edwin welcomed the Commandant and his team to the refinery. He commended the assiduous effort and work of the Commandant and his personnel to ensuring security of lives and property at the Dangote Oil Refinery. He further said that the personnel of the Lagos State Command of the Corps, are doing their very best to secure lives and property at the refinery. He charged the personnel to do more.
The Commandant, in his response, appreciated the Group Executive Director and his team for the collaboration, which the personnel of the Corps attached to the refinery enjoy, in the discharge of their security duties at the refinery.
He reiterated his commitment to ensure that the NSCDC personnel attached to the refinery remain committed and dedicated to their duties, to avert breach in the security of lives and property.
In his speech, the Commandant enjoined the management of the refinery to remain supportive and calm as the Corps will continue to do its best in the protection of lives and property, in conjunction with other sister agencies at the refinery.
Commandant Ayeni PK used the opportunity to promise improved and quality security services from the personnel of the Corps attached to the Oil Refinery. He however, sought better and dependable collaboration with the management of the Oil Refinery, on behalf of the personnel of the corps attached to the oil refinery.
Some officers who visited the facility with the Commandant include Chief Superintendent of Corps Oyamakinde Babatunde (Head of Anti-Vandal Unit), Superintendent of Corps Elijah Falade (Head of Arms Squad Unit), Superintendent of Corps Success Oguniyi (Personal Assistant to Commandant), Deputy Superintendent of Corps Ajayi Jide (OC Dangote Refinery), Assistant Superintendent of Corps 1 Abolurin Oluwaseun O (Public Relations Officer Lagos State Command) and the Assistant Superintendent of Corps I Ademoroti Lukman 2i/c to the OC Dangote Refinery.
Those who accompanied the Group Executive Director, from (Dangote Oil Refinery), Mr D. V. G. Edwin, to receive the team included Mr Guiseppe Surace (Chief Operating Officer), Mr Olayinka Akande (Group General Manager Corporate Relations), Assistant Inspector – General Abubakar Manko rtd (Head Security Operations).
Also, Community Relations Specialists include Ms Ogunleye Mojisola, Mr. Gbadebo Abayomi and Ms. Falilat Rahman.
Commandant Ayeni PK also inspected the personnel on duty attached to the oil refinery at their different beats on the site to ascertain their level of alertness, dedication and commitment to duty. He enjoined the personnel to remain committed to the mandate of the organization, and remain great ambassadors of the Corps at the Dangote Oil Refinery and Petrochemicals Company Limited.
