Below are the comments gathered by DAILY POST:
Bassey Ekpo Bassey, ”It is a valid question. The problem with us is that we have been so used to tragedy that there is apathy. We just move on like nothing happened.”
Peter Orok, ” There’s no word to explain but Petertex we know can’t withstand stress. Ransom has been without release. Let them release his corpse for proper burial please.”
Esther Odu, ”I tried to reach out to a family member but i didn’t like the outcome of my call to him. This state is just loose, the force is loser and non-challant about the citizens until they are directly affected but God will help us.”
Betty Abah, ”Wow, that’s profoundly sad. What can we do? This is yet another terrible reflection on the state of governance in my adopted state.”
Ekpenyong Omin, ”Oh Peter Tex I use to enjoy his broadcasting skills, what is this govt doing about his release.”
Pamela Braide, ”All we here is theories and rumors of demise. Each theory a variation of the next. His family apparently paid ransom. Some say 2ce. What shocks me is how quiet the whole thing is. Once in awhile we shout on social media.”
Bassey Archibong, ”This case will definitely dig up selfishness from us, after all who cares about me when I’m gone? thankless society.”
Samuel Ekanem, ”It makes you wonder how easy it is to disappear and few words are uttered. May I ask, who’s next?”
Adesoji Adebisi, ”The general mood in the broadcast industry in Cross River State seems very low, as broadcasters are worried and concerned about their safety in the State, not long ago a media executive was kidnapped in the state and released after some days. There is a need for the state government to recalibrate the security network in the state, with the 2019 general elections in view, the state government must work with all security agencies in the state to ensure a safe and secure environment for both Media practitioners and the general public.”
