Nigerians have mocked the current senator representing Imo West Senator, Rochas Okorocha after he announced that he will be contesting for president in the 2023 presidential election.
Social media users said that if he becomes president, he will build more statues.
The lawmaker had on Wednesday openly declared his intention to succeed President Muhammadu Buhari in 2023.
Okorocha stated this in a letter read on Wednesday during plenary by Senate President Ahmad Lawan.
The former Imo governor said he plans to contest the presidency on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
He added that he would officially declare his ambition for the 2023 presidency at a world press conference scheduled for Monday 31st January 2022.
