The Nigeria Police Force has expressed worry that about 50 per cent of applicants for recruitment in Delta State have failed to show up for physical and credentials’ screening as scheduled.
Consequently, the state police command has extended the mop-up exercise for applicants in the state to today (Friday).
A statement issued on Thursday by the Public Relations Officer of the command, DSP Bright Edafe, said the 2021 recruitment for Delta State indigenes that commenced on February 1, 2022 at the Cenotaph, Asaba, had seen to the screening of 435 applicants so far.
The statement noted that Thursday was slated for the Warri South and Warri South West local government areas.
The statement read in part, “However, about 50 per cent of the applicants have yet to appear for their screening.
“The Delta State Police Command wishes to inform applicants, who have yet to appear for their physical/credential screening that the exercise has been extended to Friday, February 11, 2022 from 9am to 6pm at the Cenotaph, Asaba.
“Applicants are to report at the Cenotaph, Asaba, in their clean white T-shirt and shorts, wearing a face mask with their National Identity Numbers; original and duplicate copies of credentials; O’ level result(s); certificate of origin; birth certificate/sworn declaration of age; two white flat files; four recent passport photographs; printout of application submission confirmation page; and duly completed guarantor’s form.
“Any candidate, who fails to present any of the above, will not be considered for the screening.”
