Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazak has described Osun All Progressives Congress’ governorship primary as peaceful.
The Kwara governor, who is the chairman of the election committee, thanked APC members for their large turnout and peaceful conduct.
He said though war was painted in the media, peace was recorded during the election.
AbdulRazak spoke while monitoring the primary in Iragbiji, the hometown of Governor Adegboyega Oyetola.
He said, “Let me congratulate the people of Osun State and members of the All Progressives Congress (APC). What is happening here shows that the party is alive and strong. You can see that from the huge turnout.
“If you open the pages of newspapers today, what was painted was a picture of the war in Osun. But the primaries election has been peaceful. I congratulate the people of Osun and all the aspirants. They have all done well.”
Three aspirants for the primary are Gov. Oyetola; former Secretary to the State Government, Alhaji Moshood Adeoti, and Mr Lasun Yusuf, former Deputy Speaker, House of Representatives.
