The All Progressives Grand Alliance has described the Anambra State Governor, Willie Obiano, and the incoming governor, Prof Chukwuma Soludo, as blessings to the people.
The party said it was very optimistic that Soludo would justify the confidence Obiano and the people have reposed on him through quality performance.
Speaking in Awka on Sunday, the National Coordinator, APGA Media Warriors Forum, Evang Chinedu Obigwe, said the incoming governor was a well-focused character that would not have time to waste on irrelevant issues and politically motivated witch hunt.
He pointed out that Soludo’s approach to governance would be different from Obiano’s style, while assuring the people that, in the end, the result will yield fruitful results for ndi Anambra.
The APGA chieftain also explained that ndi Anambra would definitely say glory be to God that Soludo emerged as Obiano’s successor in office.
He said, “The reason why I said this is because of my belief that Soludo will justify the confidence reposed on him by both Governor Obiano and ndi Anambra. Let’s not forget that during the electioneering campaign for the governorship election, Obiano did not shy away from telling ndi Anambra that Soludo will perform better than him.
“The two of them are different people but the good aspect of them is that they are open-minded. Our humble wish that we do not shy away from saying always is that we want Governor Obiano to enjoy a well-deserved rest after handing over to Soludo and we can say it boldly that with Soludo as his successor that our wish for Obiano had been granted.
“When Soludo takes over on March 17, he will disrupt the governance system in a commendable bid to actualise his transformation agenda for our beloved Anambra State.
“All the actions he will take as governor will favour the masses in such a way that they will be thanking God for choosing him as Governor Obiano’s successor.
“As I said earlier, he does not have time to waste on witch-hunting and this is the area agents of discord that will want to sow a seed of discord between him and Obiano will be disappointed.”
He urged the people of Anambra to support Soludo genuinely and allow him carry out the reforms that would yield the desired results for the state.
