Olowu Taiwo, aka Eltee, a singer and son to the late actress, Henrietta Kosoko, has said before her demise, his mother taught him to always be content.
Speaking on the advice she gave him concerning his music career, Eltee told Sunday Scoop, “My mum taught me to move at my own pace. She told me not to let the success of my competitors distract me from my own game. She taught me persistence, and she was always attended every show I performed at back then. She would be on the front row and be singing my songs word-for-word. People were always amazed by how proud she was of me.
“She also taught me to be confident in my craft, network properly, and stay. May God rest her beautiful soul.”
The singer also noted that he has a great relationship with his stepdad and actor, Jide Kosoko.
On the challenges confronting him at this stage of his career, the singer said, “It is mostly the pressure of releasing another hit song. My fans love me and are hoping for another ‘banger’.
The Rnb and afro-fusion artiste also stated that he is usually inspired by things that happen around him.
Highlighting the changes he would like to see in the music industry, he said, “I would love to see stage performances getting better. Right now, only a few Nigerian artistes know how to truly entertain. I will also like to see more credit given songwriters. I appreciate Mr Ayo Animashaun for creating a platform for that.”
