The Rivers State Police have paraded some suspected criminals terrorizing parts of the state including twelve suspected cultists, four kidnappers and four armed robbers.
The command also displayed five dead bodies shot dead by men of the Inspector General of Police Monitoring Unit during an exchange of fire arm with armed criminals.
The Commissioner of Police, Usman Belel, who briefed newsmen of their achievement, said two officers were inflicted with bullet wounds during the exchange of fire with the criminals.
CP Belel said operatives of the Anti Kidnapping Unit in combined operation traced suspected kidnappers to Obibi-Etche where twenty year old Darlington Onyeche and Godwork Joe, who are believed to have kidnapped Reverend Father Donatus Ukaulor.
CP Belel also announced the arrest of two suspected sea pirates identified as Nelson Monkeni and Godspower Stephen terrorizing Bonny water ways and the rescue of two female kidnapped victims in a forest at Elibrada in Emohua Local Government Area of the state.
Some of the paraded suspects; Darlington Onyeche and Godwork Joe told newsmen their roles in the kidnap of Reverend Father Donatus Ukaolor in Etche Local Government Area of the state.
“12 cultists were arrested, 4 kidnappers were also arrested, 4 suspected armed robbers were arrested.
“Three AK47, five locally made pistol, three pump Action, eight machetes, five magazines, sixty ammunition and forty cartridges were recovered by the command.
“We will continue to do our best to sustain the current onslaught on criminal gangs and cultists,” CP Belel said.
