The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Osun State Command on Wednesday said it had deployed 1,200 personnel to provide security across the state during Easter celebrations.
This was contained in a statement signed by the command’s Public Relations Officer, Atanda Olabisi.
The statement further said the command had put in place robust security arrangements and crime prevention strategies to ensure a crime-free Easter celebration.
“The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Osun State Command has deployed 1,200 personnel to provide security across the state, before, during and after easter celebrations.
“Officers and men are already emplaced on the major roads across the state; patrol teams and surveillance squads will provide security at public places and recreation centres throughout the period of the celebrations,” the statement said.
The command, therefore, appealed to members of the public to be moderate in their celebration, saying personnel would display a high level of professionalism while discharging their duties.
