Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has initiated the Lateef Jakande Leadership Academy, a one-year non-partisan and fellowship programme.
The programme is focused on developing the next generation of leaders by equipping them with the skills to foster commitment to public service and imbibing in them the ethics and values of purposeful leadership.
According to a notice shared by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Gboyega Akosile, the programme will offer firsthand experience into the process of governance at the state government level and offer bright young Nigerians the chance to support Nigeria’s recovery through inclusive, sustainable and innovative solutions.
Akosile said entry for the programme closes on June 2, 2022, adding that selection would be based solely on merit.
Applicants are expected to possess a Bachelor’s Degree and must not be more than 35 years of age. Also, applicants must have undergone the National Youth Service Corps with three years of work experience.
