The management of Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation and Amni International Petroleum Development Company Limited have donated a new ambulance and other Personal Protective Equipment to the General Hospital, Badagry, Lagos.
According to a statement made available to newsmen by the Lagos State Ministry of Information and Strategy on Tuesday, the items were received by the hospital’s Public Affairs Officer, Mrs. Omolara Usman, who promised that the health facility would put them to good use.
Expressing gratitude for the gesture, the statement quoted Usman as calling on other well-meaning Nigerians and organisations to support the hospital in its efforts of providing sustainable healthcare services to Lagosians, particularly residents of Badagry.
Deputy Manager of the National Petroleum Investment Management Services, Mrs. Bunmi Lawson, who handed over the items to the hospital, said the decision resulted from the constant online promotion of the activities of the hospital by its Public Affairs Officer.
Some of the other items donated included 10,000 facemasks, 110 face shields, 1,900 COVID-19 antibody test kits, 12 hand sanitisers, and 130 disposable medical coveralls.
