Fadah, who reiterated the importance of the scheme to the nation, appealed to the nation’s security agencies on election duty to strive to protect the youths serving their fatherland.
The NYSC DG, who spoke in Ado Ekiti during visits to the top brass of the Department of State Services, the Nigerian Army, and the police in the state, wondered what Nigeria would be without the NYSC in view of its services to the country and its unity factor.
Major-General GU Chibuisi, who received the NYSC DG and his entourage, reiterated the importance of the NYSC to the nation, saying, “The scheme opened the eyes of the Nigerian youths to the beauty of the country.
Chibuisi assured that the military would do all in its powers to ensure that corps members were secured during and after the elections.
Also, the DSS State Director Coordinating the election in the state, SM Waziri, who reiterated the good relationship between the NYSC scheme and the DSS, promised that “all hands are on deck in ensuring that the corps members are secured.”
At the Police Headquarters, Ado Ekiti, the Commissioner of Police, Moronkeji Adesina, equally promised unflinching support and utmost security for the lives and properties of the corps members during and after the elections.
