A group, Bola Ahmed Tinubu Sanwo-Olu Projects, has disclosed its plan to partner with the Lagos State Government to sensitise youths in the state to the need to register for and collect their Permanent Voter Cards.
The Director-General of BATSO Projects, Mr Emmanuel Amuwo, said this, according to a statement on Tuesday, during the group’s executive meeting held in Lekki.
Amuwo noted that the group is determined to give their best towards the electoral victory of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu and Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu in the 2023 election.
He said, “There are convincing reasons why the support of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu and Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu is sacrosanct towards a progressive Lagos and a better Nigeria and to this end, there are efforts in place to partner with the Lagos State Ministry of Youths on the need to aggressively sensitise the youth on Permanent Voter Cards registration, collection and other related issues.
“I also find it imperative to sacrifice my comfort zone towards the BATSO project by turning my Lekki house to the group’s secretariat to enable effectiveness and achieve desired goals and we are hopeful to have secretariats in all the five divisions of the state with coordinators in the 20 local government areas and 37 local council development areas.”
Also speaking at the event, a member of the Advisory Board of BATSO, Mr Adetimi Durojaiye, urged members of the group to highlight projects executed by the Sanwo-Olu administration.
“I urge members to ensure that sensitisation of residents to have their PVCs should be top on our agenda and we need to reinstate our efforts towards the re-election of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu as BATSO will be highlighting projects executed by the Sanwo-Olu-led administration. This, we believe, is paramount to create a synergy that will foster development,” he stated.
