Speculations of his arrest hit social media on Thursday night, as unverified reports rumoured that the rapper had been arrested at a Stockholm nightclub by the local police.
The reports further alleged that the rapper and his bodyguard were arrested for illegal possession of cannabis.
Drake’s team, however, told The Hollywood Reporter that the rumours were false.
His team categorically tells THR that the Grammy winner was in his hotel in the Swedish capital and had not been arrested.
The rapper, who documented his movement in a series of Instagram posts, landed at Sweden’s Arlanda airport on Wednesday lunchtime.
Drake arrived in the country on his personal baby blue Boeing 767 dubbed “Air Drake.”
Since he touched down in Sweden, local media reports had noted that the rapper visited the trendy Östermalm district of Stockholm.
