An unspecified number of people were reportedly killed in a multiple auto crash that occurred along Okpaka/Udu Expressway in Udu Local Government Area of Delta State on Sunday.
PUNCH Metro gathered that some other persons also incurred varied degrees of injuries in the accident.
It was gathered that the auto crash occurred on the Okpaka/Udu expressway bridge when four vehicles collided in multiple crashes, killing an unspecified number of persons while others were seriously injured.
Witnesses said that two vehicles crashed against themselves from behind due to close-range driving on the bridge, after a head-on collision of two vehicles in the front.
It was gathered that one of the ill-fated vehicles was driving in the wrong lane, an incident which was alleged to have prompted the auto crash.
Some dead bodies and the injured persons were reportedly sighted and laid at the top of the bridge.
Efforts to reach the spokesman of the Federal Road Safety Commission for comment on the incident proved abortive as of the time of filing this report.
Also, the police public relations officer for Delta State Command, Bright Edafe, could not be reached for confirmation.
