The North American Alumni of the Federal University of Technology, Akure, Ondo State, has donated a laboratory to the institution.
This was disclosed in a statement on Thursday announcing the flagging off of the celebration of its first in-person reunion.
The event will be held in Dallas, Texas, United States of America, from July 28 to July 31.
The statement read in part, “FUTANA plans to bring back some cherished traditions and new activities for alumni and families to enjoy this weekend.
“Events lined up for the weekend include a tour of Dallas; Amala Joint; Gbedu Night; Sunset Boat Cruise; soccer and Zumba; Axe Throwing; Gun Range; Texas BBQ; Awards and Gala Dinner. This reunion is shaping up to be as big as Texas.
“The FUTA North America alumni organisation has made significant contributions to the development of the university, including providing food palliatives to support over 1,000 individuals and families during the COVID-19 lockdown in 2020. The North American Alumni group strongly supports the university in Nigeria. This celebration is befitting for all members.”
