The presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, joined the family of an All Progressives Congress chieftain, Segun Senbanjo, for the burial of the latter’s mother, Olubunmi Ibiyemi Craig.
At the well-attended burial ceremony on Thursday, Sebanjo, a former APC Ogun State senatorial aspirant, hosted top politicians and captains of industries, to bid his mother farewell.
This was contained in a statement by Lekan Osiade, a Senior Special Adviser to Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State, made available to The PUNCH on Friday.
The educationist, who gave up the ghost on July 13, was buried on August 4, 2022.
She was the proprietress of Labo Memorial Primary School and Somerset Secondary, and also a pillar of the community and philanthropist.
Asides from Obi, other dignatries at the event include Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun; Africa’s richest man, Aliko Dangote; Minister of Trade and Industry, Niyi Adebayo; CEO of OANDO, Wale Tinubu; Segun Awolowo; and First Lady of Kwara State, Ambassador Folake Abdulrazaq.
Other guests include Segun Fagboyegun, Toyin Saraki, Dr. Doyin Okupe, and Senator Tokunbo Ogunbanjo, among many others.
