Embattled Nollywood actor, Moses Armstrong, has denied the rape charges recently leveled against him.
Armstrong, a former aide to Governor Udom Emmanuel of Akwa Ibom state, was arrested last month for allegedly raping a minor he adopted.
He was charged with rape, intimidation, conspiracy and supplying drugs or instructed to procure abortion.
He was sent to prison by the court. On August 11, a High court in the state granted him bail.
His friends came out enmass to receive him as he was released from prison after perfecting his bail condition. They also took to social media to celebrate his release.
In a post shared on his Facebook page on August 16, Armstrong stated that he isn’t a rapist and that he thanked God he went to prison.
He wrote, “No one but God. Nothing pass God. If you believe, you will receive. Nothing pass God. I didn’t rape anybody. I don’t rape. I have never raped. And I will never rape. I’m back stronger and better. I am happy I went to prison. God went with me. The experience is awesome. You will hear it soon. Blessing to all you angels that believed in me. Love you all deeply. One love.”
