Ronaldinho, the Brazil and Barcelona legend, has spoken on Lionel Messi.
He provided his thoughts on Messi, the Paris Saint-Germain star, being considered the Greatest Of All Time (GOAT).
Ronaldinho refused to name Messi, who was his former teammate at Barcelona as the greatest footballer of all time.
At 35 years of age, Messi is slowly nearing the end of his career.
However, the Argentine captain continues to be regarded as one of the best footballers in the world right now.
Messi won 35 trophies during his 21-year stint with Barcelona and has bagged two titles with PSG so far.
While the FIFA World Cup has evaded Messi, the seven-time Ballon d’Or winner finally realized his desire to win a trophy with Argentina last year as he led La Albiceleste to Copa America glory in July 2021.
However, Ronaldinho named football icons Pele and Diego Maradona and insisted that there are several players who were the best in their own generations, adding that it is difficult to pick only Messi.
Ronaldinho told Eleven Sports: “It is difficult to say [only Messi], there are so many players.
“I don’t like to compare. You had Pele, Maradona, there were so many. Every one of them was the best in their own time.”
