The Akwa Ibom State Governor, Mr Udom Emmanuel, on Tuesday submitted a list of nominees for the offices of Commissioners and Special Advisers to the state House of Assembly.
In a letter attached with the list which the Governor submitted and was read by the Clerk to the House, Mrs. Mandu Umoren, during plenary, it was discovered that the governor retained about 97 per cent of his old cabinet.
According to the list, the nominees includes: Akan Okon, Ime Ekpo, Nse Essien, Uwemedimo Nwoko, Monday Uko, Linus Nkan, Okpulupum Etteh, Ephraim Inyaneyen, Ekong Sampson, Charles Udoh, Orman Esin, Iniobong Essien, Dominic Ukpong and Gloria Edet.
Others were: Udo Ekpenyong, Ukpong Akpabio, Uno Etim, Rapheal Bassey,.Victor Bassey. And the nominees for appointment as Special Advisers include; Sunny Ibuot and Ekemini Umoh.
Receiving the letter and list of nominees, the Speaker, Mr Aniekan Bassey, committed same to the committee on Judiciary, Human Right and Public Petitions inaugurated shortly after the presentation of the lists, to deliberate on same and report to the House in a week’s time.
