The Imo State Government has terminated all consultancy arrangements of the Owerri Capital Development Authority (OCDA).
Uche Onyeagucha, the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), in a terse statement forwarded to DAILY POST on Friday evening, explained that the suspension was taken over the activities of the consultants engaged by the immediate past administration of former Governor, Rochas Okorocha.
The statement read in full, “Government has received several petitions against the activities of consultants engaged by the Owerri Capital Development Authority (OCDA) since the past few years. To this effect, Government hereby directs the suspension of all consultancy arrangements by the Authority until further notice.
“The Management of Owerri Capital Development Authority is hereby mandated to terminate all previous Consultancy engagements, subsisting contractual agreements and remove non-staffers from the premises of the Authority with immediate effect.”
