Flooding has been a challenge in Nigeria in recent years and this year’s flooding has left hundreds dead and over a million displaced.
At this stage, there is a need to enlighten residents of flood-prone areas about what is to happen once the Lagdo Dam in Cameroon is opened.
Also, the provision of post-flooding relief materials are no longer enough, there is a need to prevent flooding, a need to ensure lives are not lost and Nigerians displaced and vulnerable to diseases.
