Three persons have been killed in a car accident along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, Ogun State.
The Route Commander, Federal Road Safety Corps, Ogun State, Florence Okpe, said the incident happened in the early hours of Monday.
According to Okpe, the accident was caused by speeding, adding that it involved a Toyota Sienna van, which was crushed by a tanker.
She said six people were involved in the crash: four male adults and two female adults.
“A total of three persons were injured: two male adults and one female adult, while three persons died.
“The injured victims were taken to Idera Hospital for medical attention and the dead were deposited at the same hospital’s morgue.
“The Sector Commander, FRSC, Ogun State, Corps Commander Ahmed Umar, commiserated with the crash victims and advised motorists to shun speed,” Okpe added.
