Longman Nwachukwu was named the Campaign Administrator with Hon. Uzoma Abonta as his deputy, while the Secretary is High Chief Enyinnaya Onyekwere.
Briefing newsmen in Umuahia during the late Friday event, the state chairman of the party, Rev. Augustine Ehiemere, warned that APGA would not condone any form of intimidation through destruction of campaign posters and billboards.
He said, “We are all stakeholders in Abia State and we will no longer tolerate any intimidation from the party in power.
“If any attempt is also made to deface or to destroy the billboard of our candidates, we will also not take it kindly. To be a gentleman is not weakness,” Ehiemere said.
On power rotation, the APGA party boss said the Peoples Democratic Party did not abide by the Charter of Equity.
Speaking of the party’s candidate, Ehiemere said, “Professor Greg Ibe is the man that has the capacity and all that it takes to govern Abia and clean the mess that the ruling party has made in Abia.
“Abia cannot afford to allow a people that have brought a colossal decay in the entire Abia governance to come back to govern Abia come 2023.”
“We also urge INEC to remember that Abia has suffered enough and that 2023 election has a lot to do with the destiny of Abia politically, economically and health-wise.
“They should please make haste to release the PVCs to their owners because some greedy politicians that want to hold on to power go about deceiving the unsuspecting Abia populace, collecting their PVCs, writing their VIN number and giving them N5,000.00 each in the name of empowerment.”
