While presenting the items, the CBN Branch Controller in Sokoto state, Dahiru Usman, said the gesture was part of the Corporate Responsibility Services activities of the bank.
Usman commended FRSC for its effort in safeguarding people’s lives and property.
He noted that the strides of the FRSC leadership in ensuring maximum execution of the organisation’s mandates were commendable, and CBN deemed it fit to complement their services.
In his remarks, the sector commander of FRSC in the state, Kabiru Yusuf-Nadabo, expressed gratitude over the gesture, which he assured would surely enhance their activities.
He urged the CBN’s CRS platform to support communities, institutions, and organisations to enhance their activities, and expressed optimism that CBN would consider FRSC in other supports.
The FRSC boss also lauded the cordial relationship that existed between the CBN and the FRSC, noting that it was demonstrated by the physical presence of the branch controller during the presentation of the items, despite his busy schedule.
He reiterated the commitment of the FRSC to ensure accident-free roads, adding that the sector recorded 32 percent reduction in road crashes in 2022 when compared with last year’s statistics.
