Ahead of the 2023 general elections, the International Association of World Peace Advocates says it will collaborate with the United States and other international communities to ensure peaceful elections in Nigeria in 2023.
The association, headquartered in Denmark, said despite not being a political or religious organisation, its target was to ensure peace in Africa before, during and after the elections.
Speaking in Ibadan during the conferment of International Mayor of Peace Award on Apostle Solomon Mustapha Oni by the association, its President, Ambassador Per Stafsen, said, “IAWPA is not in a hurry to present award of this kind to anybody anywhere in the world, but we are much excited going by the track records and immense contribution of sustainable peace occasioned by Apostle Solomon to confer on him the only 2022 International Mayor of Peace Award.
“This is not a religious organisation or a political entity and never an indigenous body but a league of global personalities whose aims and vision are to support the United Nations succeed in its international mandate of maintaining world peace.”
Mustapha, who appreciated the award, promised to continue preaching the gospel of Jesus and peace to the world.
