Fire guts residential building in Lagos

Fire has gutted a residential building on Aladelola Street, Ikosi Ketu area of Lagos State on Monday.

The raging fire was seen razing the building as residents who trooped to the scene watched from afar.

The fire is still currently ongoing, with men of the fire service making efforts to put it out.

The PUNCH gathered that the water in the first tank of the fire service truck got exhausted, with another truck coming in afterwards.

Residents were seen panicking as they lamented, seeing the fire razing the building.

An eyewitness who noticed the fire from the beginning could not speak to our correspondent as she was still in shock following the devastating incident.

It was gathered that no casualty was recorded as concerted efforts were also being made to control the inferno.
