Adetiba, who directed both the first and second movie, made this known via her Instagram page on Wednesday.
In the post, the director promised fans of the series a “wild ride” as she shared a picture of herself seated with the star of the film, Sola Sobowale, and popular musician, Seun Kuti.
“I just need y’all to know… That KOB 3 is gonna be a WIIIIIIIIIILLLLLLLDDDDDDDD RIIIIIIIIIIIIDE!!! #SayingALotWithoutSayingTooMuch #KOB3 #WhenThunderAndLightningMeetOnScreen,” she captioned the picture.
First released in 2018, King of Boys tells the story of an ambitious crime lord and businesswoman, Eniola Salami (played by Sobowale).
After tragically losing her children in the first movie, Salami returns from exile in part 2 titled, “The Return Of The King”.
In the seven-part Netflix series released in 2021, Eniola fought and won a tough battle to clinch the governorship seat of Lagos State, thereby solidifying her influence politically.
Part 3 of the series is one of the most anticipated in 2023.
