During the 2021/2022 legal year, the Court of Appeal cumulatively dispensed 609 cases, The PUNCH gathered.
Of the 609 cases dispensed with, 157 cases were upheld while 452 cases were dismissed.
Meanwhile, carried forward into 2023 are 865 pending appeals.
Of this figure, 760 are civil cases, 25 belong to the Fundamental Human Rights Category and 71 are criminal cases.
Findings further reveal that 2245 pending motions have spilt over the new year.
