In a press statement in Abuja signed by its National Publicity Secretary, Barrister Tex Okechukwu, the party protested the continuous harassment and intimidation of its candidates and members in Ebonyi State by suspected members of the Ebubeagu security outfit, and vowed to resist it henceforth.
It called on the Inspector General of Police, Usman Baba, to launch an immediate manhunt for the culprits and bring them to justice.
The party stated clearly that nobody or group, no matter how highly placed, would be allowed to attack its members henceforth as it would do everything at its disposal to ensure justice was done for any of its members harmed or assaulted.
It called on politicians to see politics as sports, fated to produce both winners and losers.
The party called on voters to be vigilant and reject those bent on destroying the image of the country with their ignoble conducts and acts, while praying to God to protect the nation and her people as they prepare to elect a new set of leaders to pilot the affairs of the nation.
