She shared this in a recent interview with Taymesan on the ‘Tea with Taypod’ podcast, while speaking on the contentious term ‘feminism’.
She stated that even though she loves fighting for women’s rights, she does not consider herself a feminist because she was raised to value and respect men.
According to her, she is not struggling for the ‘King’ position as most women are, nor is she is cut out for fighting for equal rights with men.
She averred that she is content with being a woman and a “queen” as long as her partner does not oppress her and allows her to be herself.
The 40-year-old movie star said in part,
“Being a feminist means different thing to different people.
I love to protect women’s rights and I feel the need for equality, but I am also a structured person.
I have been raised a certain way. I am raised to respect and value men.
