Alfadarai made this statement during his visits to the state Commissioner of Police, Abiodun Alabi, and the state Coordinator of the National Youth Service Corps, Mrs Yetunde Baderinwa, on Wednesday.
According to a statement signed by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, Oluwaseun Abolurin, and obtained by our correspondent, the commandant said the visits were necessary as part of the preparations for the forthcoming general elections.
During his visit to the NYSC temporary camp in Iyana-Ipaja, Alfadarai stated that the Command would do everything in its power to put effective security in place, adding that “they are ready to ensure the safety of corps members before, during and after the forthcoming 2023 general elections.”
“The Command will continuously deploy personnel to the camp at all times when their services are needed due to sincere importance the Command attaches to the lives of corps members, staff and their property,” he added.
While speaking in the office of the Commissioner of Police at Ikeja, Alfadarai promised that the Command would continue to work effectively with other agencies, noting that the visit was imperative to appreciate the commissioner, and “to further cement a good working relationship between the Nigeria Police Force and the NSCDC in Lagos State.”
He said, “The Command will continue to work to create a better enabling environment and improved working relations which will spur the Command to render effective security services in line with its mandates.”
