The group, on Thursday, said it suspected the existence of a syndicate in the scheme, adding that it believed that the duty of the syndicate is to lure unsuspecting members of the public, especially those contesting for political positions, and dupe them.
HURIWA said the certificates being issued is tagged “Oluwole NYSC certificates,” stressing that the members of the syndicate might also be members of the scheme.
The rights advocacy group made this known in a press conference in Abuja on Thursday.
HURIWA further said the new DG should set up a committee to probe the matter and uncover members of the syndicate involved in the dastardly act.
“We will be writing to the new Director General of the NYSC to task him to set up an independent panel of investigators to uncover the members of this syndicate,” the rights advocacy group said in the press conference as quoted by Daily Post.
