The Deputy Director, Administration of the Peoples Democratic Party Presidential Campaign Council, Abiodun Oladipo, has said that the villa is not an apprentice workshop where elected politicians will go and start learning on the job adding that Nigerians will only vote for politician that is business minded such as Atiku Abubakar.
Oladipo disclosed this shortly after receiving three groups on behalf of Atiku who declared their support to the PDP presidential candidate at the party’s campaign headquarters in Abuja on Wednesday.
The ex-National Secretary of the PDP, noted that Atiku does not feel entitled, but wants to use his capacity to turn the wave of the country’s recent present condition.
The PCC’s director said the former vice president has promised to use his five-point policy document which Nigerians took as a groundwork for their promise to vote for him in February 25 presidential election.
He pointed out that “The villa is not an apprentice workshop where you can go and start learning on the job.
“This is a serious business and Atiku means business.”
It is with great enthusiasm gratitude, and joy that I on behalf of Atiku, Okowa and Iyorchia Ayu, accept your support and we are ready to work with you to achieve our recover Nigeria project.
He further remarked, “I want to assure you that Atiku has promised to pursue the five point agenda religiously and Nigeria will be a great country again.
“Today marks one of the best days of the Atiku-Okowa campaign organisation.
“Let me say it clearly that Atiku Abubakar is not contesting this election just because he wants to be president; he is contesting because he loves this country.
Going further he added that “Atiku does not have the entitlement mentality that some people were parading, saying it is my turn, it is our turn, the presidential villa is not the private estate of anybody. Also it is not a hospital ward, a sick bay.
The groups represented by their leaders were Northern Intellectuals Forum led by Muhammed Abubakar, Association of Skilled and Vocational Artisans of Nigeria led by Comrade Ozeomena Pepple and Uzama Osagie led Voters Club of Nigeria.
Speaking earlier, Abubakar of the NIF, on behalf of the groups remarked that “We pledge our support to the Atiku-Okowa Recover Nigeria project, we are already working towards giving our contributions to the campaign to make sure that Atiku and Okowa win the election.”
