Sheikh Aminu Ibrahim Daurawa, a renowned Islamic scholar has advised governors of northern States to establish an agency to identify and screen immigrants entering the region with a view to preventing the influx of undesirable elements into Nigeria.
The Islamic scholar gave this advice while delivering a lecture on how to tackle the insecurity situation in Northern Nigeria held at the Sheikh Abubarkar Muhammad Gummi Arabia jumaa’at mosque in Gusau, the Zamfara state capital.
He explained that justice and fairness are the only way out of the insecurity in the whole country.
“There is no way peace can reign in any society in the absence of justice and fairness,” he said
Daurawa disclosed that sincere and good faith in the Almighty Allah by good leaders is the second way out for peace and security, saying that these insecurity situation came into existence simply because there was no justice in the whole system as everything has been derailed.
“If the leaders can do justice to their followers, the followers would equally do justice by being fair at their places of work, houses and business environment which will bring peace and security in the land,” he stressed.
Sheikh Daurawa urged the northern governors to establish an agency that would monitor illegal entry from different counties, pointing out that sometimes people with questionable characters do come into these states illegally.
He also called on the northern state governors to revive the Elders’ Forums in every communities for reconciliation between villages and communities in the region.
