The University of Medical Sciences, Ondo, Ondo State, has sought partnership with the stakeholders to develop the Akure campus of the institution.
The institution stated that the Akure campus would run programmes for undergraduates, pre-degree students, postgraduates, and professional students, adding that distance learning programmes would also be running on the campus, hence the need for its development.
The Vice-Chancellor of the university, Prof. Adesegun Fatusi, stated this during a community familiarisation dinner held on the Akure campus.
According to the VC, the stakeholders and residents will be updated on the developmental activities on the campus to attract opportunities for investments and partnerships.
He said, “We need the government, the citizens, and corporate organisations to partner in order to move the university forward in a very significant way.
“The (Akure) campus is very significant to the university, so we want to annex the capacity and expand it. In the new programme we are unveiling, Akure campus will start running programmes like Public Health and Sciences, among others.”
