Chuks Ibegbu, the Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the apex Igbo socio-cultural organization, Ohanaeze Ndigbo, has warned President Muhammadu Buhari-led federal government against placing round pegs in square holes while allocating offices to ministerial nominees.
Ibegbu noted that some of the nominees were not known to have added value to the society in the past, expressing hope that they may do so in the present.
The Ohanaeze Spokesman, who made the group’s position known, in an interview with newsmen in Umuahia, the Abia State capital, on Friday, also cautioned them against looting of public funds.
On the security threats against the co-existence of Nigeria, Ibegbu harped against turning the Shi’ites group to another Boko Haram, which according to him, will not augur well
for the country.
Ibegbu again, called on the federal government to obey court orders and release El-Zakzaky.
At the same time , Ohanaeze warned against allowing extremist countries to interfere in the internal affairs of “our secular nation(Nigeria). We must not allow Iran, Iraq or Saudi Arabia to come here and mess us”.
