- The candidate of the PDP in the just concluded presidential election, Atiku Abubakar, has led the party leaders and supporters to protest at the INEC headquarters in Abuja
- Joining in the protest are the national chairman of the PDP, Iyorchia Ayu and the Governor of Sokoto State, Aminu Tambuwal
- Former senate president and BoT chairman of the PDP, Adolphus Wabara was also part of the protest against Bola Tinubu’s victory in the poll
Atiku Abubakar, the candidate for the presidential election of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), leads a protest to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) headquarters in Abuja.
This comes following Tinubu’s declaration as the winner of the election with 8,794,726 votes, defeating Atiku Abubakar who received 6,984,520 votes, and Peter Obi of the Labour Party (LP), who garnered 6,101,533 votes.
Atiku and Obi have both filed petitions at the presidential election tribunal challenging the victory of Tinubu.
PDP leaders and their followers, all dressed in black, however, took to the streets to protest against the recently held presidential election on Monday 6th, March.
