The President-elect, Senator Bola Tinubu, has been urged not to revenge against those who do not support his ambition to become the president.
The leader of Ogboni Aborigine worldwide, Oba Adetoyese Olakisan, gave the advice in an open letter sent to Tinubu copy of which was obtained in Osogbo Wednesday.
Olakisan, who also urged the incoming president to work diligently to rescue the country from her current economic hardship, noted that God has made Tinubu a father to all Nigerians.
He also said the unity of the Yoruba Nation would depend largely on Tinubu, and asked him to work towards a restructured Nigeria.
The letter partly read, “Always remind yourself that you can’t live forever. Your assignment is a race against time. You are on a rescue mission. Work diligently as if you have only today remaining, but plan as if you have eight years ahead.
“Don’t revenge. When God took over your battle and you won, then who are you to fight again? God has made you a father to all Nigerians. See all that stood against you as instruments that made you succeed.
“You can only do better under a restructured Nigeria. You championed the case for true federalism since the NADECO era. You know what I’m saying and God will help you. Work to restructure Nigeria.
“Unity of Yoruba nation depends largely on you. The Afenifere 1 and 2 and other groups have become toothless dogs, with no direction for Yorubas, and no distinguished leader again.
“ASIWAJU, you are a game changer, return Yoruba to its leading position.”
