A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress in Ondo State, Mr Raphael Alabi, has advised the President-elect, Asiwaju Bola Tinibu, to move the economy of the country from consumption to production.
He urged the President-elect to hit the ground running, pointing out that the country needed improvement in the areas of security, economy and infrastructure.
This was as he expressed the belief that Tinubu would do well when sworn in as President, given his antecedent while he was governor of Lagos State.
Alabi said, “Nigeria’s economy needs to be moved away from consumption to production. No economy in the world thrives on consumption. Tinubu, being a first-class accountant, knows this, and I’m sure he will put Nigeria’s economy on the path of productivity.
“This is the last chance for Nigeria to revamp its economy from the doldrums. It is obvious the Nigerian economy is on the precipice.”
Alabi urged politicians to put their differences asides and lend the necessary support for Tinubu Presidency.
