A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress and Coordinator, Tinubu/Shettima Grassroot Independent Campaign Council in Ekiti State, Akin Olayisade, has said the 2023 General Elections were a lesson to leaders not to take the people for granted.
Olayisade, who said it was thought-provoking that some sitting governors lost election into the Senate, which covered only one-third of a state, showed that the people’s consciousness had improved hence the readiness to vote against leaders who did not perform well.
The GICC coordinator, who spoke in a chat with journalists on Friday, assured Nigerians that the president-elect, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, would not take citizens for granted.
