Olaniyi made the call on Friday, during his visit to the Force Headquarters Mosque to distribute relief materials to the Muslim faithful, ahead of the Ramadan and Easter celebrations.

“Let us support efforts of the police to make our society crime-free,” he said.
He added that the committee’s visit to the IGP to share the Easter and Ramadan relief materials was to ensure proper welfare of the officers, adding that the same will be carried in December for the Christian faithful.
“We are going to support the Force Headquarters Church during Christmas because we want them to feel our impact.”
It also paid courtesy visits to IGP, Police Service Commission Leadership, and Police Officers Wives Association, where it donated some relief items.
It described the act as part of its activities in ensuring adequate support for the police in executing its constitutional mandate.

“We are here to rejoice with you and show you, love,” he added.
