Olugbenga GB Agboola Invests in Lagoon Hospital

Olugbenga Agboola, the CEO and Co-founder of Flutterwave, and Fola Laoye, have been appointed as directors of Lagoon Hospital, one of Nigeria’s leading private tertiary care healthcare service providers. Lagoon Hospital was fully acquired by Iwosan Investments Limited in 2021, following investments from indigenous and foreign investors.

The official Twitter page of Lagoon Hospital announced the appointment and expressed its delight in having Mr. Agboola as a director. The occasion also coincided with the launch of a multi-specialist facility and a cardiology and cardiac health management center in Lagos.

According to the hospital’s statement on Twitter, the facility aims to provide high-quality medical care delivered by renowned clinical and surgical super-specialists. It will offer faster access to interventional cardiology, interventional radiology, and laparoscopic services to both Nigerians and the international community, with a focus on achieving optimal outcomes.

The establishment of this center comes at a time when there is a growing need for improved specialist services in the Nigerian health sector. It is expected to contribute significantly to meeting the demand for advanced medical care in the country.
