The remains of the late Nollywood actor and producer, Murphy Afolabi will today be buried by 4 pm at his residence in the Ikorodu area of Lagos State.
Murphy Afolabi died on Sunday after he sustained injuries from a bathroom fall in his home.
Confirming the burial arrangement during an interview with journalists, the family head of Fetuata, Afolabi’s family compound in Osogbo, Yusuf Lateef, said the actor’s remains would be laid to rest later today.
“We were initially planning to bury him here in Osogbo but his children insisted he should be buried in Lagos, where he resides with his family. We will be sending representatives to Lagos today.”
Meanwhile the president of the Theater Arts and Motion Pictures Practitioners Association of Nigeria, TAMPAN, Murufudeen Lawal, who was at the Afolabi family compound in Osun on a condolence visit, said the actor’s death was a big loss to the Yoruba film industry.
It was gathered that the late actor was preparing for the launching of his latest movie, Alani Omo Iya Osogbo.
