The founder of Jovilius Foundation, Julius Olaoluwa, is one man who is passionate about helping others, especially widows.
Through his foundation, which is named after his son, he has provided support to widows and the underprivileged, ensuring that indigent children are given the basic necessities of life.
Speaking on what inspired him to start the foundation, he told Society Plus, “I am a single father who has struggled since childhood. I have had to play the role of both parents to my children— Mercy and Jovilius. The foundation was established to give back to society, especially widows and the underprivileged.”
Reeling out some of the activities of the foundation, he said, “The foundation supports widows by providing them with resources to take care of their children. We place some of their children on scholarships, and sometimes donating money and other items to them.
“Recently, we visited my son’s school with the members of the foundation to celebrate his birthday, a tradition that has endured for years. We seized the opportunity to introduce the foundation to the school and explained the inspiration behind our humanitarian efforts. We donated computers to the school, and promised to award scholarships to two orphans.”
