The duo was later granted bail to the tune of N10 million by the presiding judge, Justice F.O Riman.
The suspects, based at the Onitsha drug market, were on Friday, arraigned before Justice Riman on a five-count bordering on the sale, distribution, possession and display of unregistered drugs.
After reading the charges before the accused, they pleaded not guilty.
Thereafter, the defence counsel, Ndubisi Okechukwu, applied for their bail application, but the prosecuting counsel, Jumbo Washington, objected and demanded their remand in the correctional centre.
But after listening to the counsels, the presiding judge granted the defendants bail in the sum of N5m each with a surety each.
He said the surety must swear an affidavit of means and show evidence of three years tax clearance.
The case was adjourned to July 5 for the hearing of Ejidike’s matter, while that of Okoye was adjourned to July 11 for his own hearing.
