The popular music reality show, Nigerian Idol, got off to a thrilling start as the top 10 contestants showcased their abilities to the judges and viewers.
The first contestant of the day, Victory Gbakara, performed Alicia Keys’ ‘Fallin’, while Savy Henry opted for John Legend’s ‘You and I’.
Reigny rendered Keyshia Cole’s ‘Heaven Sent’; Chisom performed Usher’s ‘You Got it Bad’; Goodness went with Beyoncé’s ‘Halo’; Abraham performed ‘Go the Distance’ by Michael Bolton; Quest tackled Celine Dion’s ‘It’s All Coming Back to Me’; Ose Daniel rendered Adele’s ‘Make You Feel My Love’; Precious Mac performed Alicia Keys’ ‘No One’; and Constance rendered Adele’s ‘All I Ask’.
As the debut episode came to a close, the host, IK Osakioduwa, recapped the memorable performances of the day, leaving the audience in anticipation of the results for the forthcoming eviction.
Throughout the performances, the judges— Obi Asika, D’banj and Simi— shared their opinions about the contestant’s individual outings.
