Fuji heavyweights— Wasiu Odetola, aka Pasuma; and Saheed Osupa— are over the moon with joy as their children recently graduated from different schools in the United States of America.
Pasuma’s son, Jibola, made his family proud as he emerged the best graduating student from Harlan Community Academy High School, United States of America.
On Friday, June 2, 2023, he posted a picture of himself wearing his graduation gown and holding a plaque. He added the caption, “Valedictorian, mission accomplished. Graduation day. Glory be to God. Big graduate. Unto the next.”
In a previous post, he had written, “Finally moving on to the next step of success. I am thankful to God, my mum, dad, sister and everyone who helped me along the way. I have received over $400,000 in scholarship, and got into over 20 schools. I am ranked number one in the school and I am the valedictorian with a 4.20 grade point average. I am committed to the University of Illinois Honours College. Unto the next, forever going up.”
In his valedictory speech, the secondary school graduate stated that he would be studying Human Biology at the University of Illinois, Chicago, in line with his dream of eventually becoming a paediatrician.
Reacting to his son’s achievement, Pasuma wrote on social media, “Congratulations to my son, Jibola Wasiu Junior, daddy’s boy. I am so proud of you. Well done, my boy.”
Entertainers, including Salawa Abeni, Mercy Aigbe, Biodun Okeowo (Omoborty), Wumi Toriola and Bimbo Thomas congratulated Pasuma and his son.
In a similar vein, Osupa, was ecstatic as his daughter, Suliat, graduated from the school of nursing at Essex County College in New Jerse, on June 2, 2023.
Relishing the achievement of his daughter, Osupa wrote on Instagram, “Congratulations, dear Suliat Okunola, on your convocation. I love your courage. I cherish your quest for knowledge. You are an epitome of diligence, passion and strength. Your success is pronounced and cannot be hidden. I celebrate you today for you are a great achiever. I am proud to be your father. Keep shining, daughter.”
Entertainers including Jaiye Kuti, Daddy Showkey, Kemi Korede, Kunle Adegbite and Klever Jay congratulated the singer on his daughter’s graduation.
