Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun announced the appointment of six former commissioners as special advisers.
Abiodun made the announcement a week after the state House of Assembly approved his request to appoint 20 special advisers.
The governor disclosed the appointment in a statement issued by the Secretary to the State Government, Tokunbo Talabi, on Wednesday.
Both Talabi and the Deputy Chief of Staff, Dr Oluwatoyin Taiwo, were also reappointed.
The new special advisers are Dapo Okubadejo as the Chief Economic Adviser to the Governor, Olaolu Olabimtan as the Special Adviser on Budget and Planning, Jagunmolu Omoniyi as the Special Adviser on Housing, Adebowale Akinsanya as the Special Adviser on Works and Infrastructure, Olusina Ogungbade as the Special Adviser on Justice, and Dr Tomi Coker as the Special Adviser on Health.
According to the statement, the appointments take immediate effect.
